Instructions for Descaling an Espresso Machine

Quick step-by-step plan: how to descale your espresso machine, such as the Sage, ECM, Quickmill, De'Longhi or La Marzocco

1. Prepare
– Switch off the machine and let it cool down
– Remove the water tank and filter

2. Mix descaler
– Mix one sachet of descaler with 1 litre of warm water in the reservoir

3. Start descaling
– Replace the reservoir and start the descaling program
No program? Run the solution through the brewing unit and steam wand manually. Use cleaning wipes to clean your work area.

4. Induction
– Leave the solution in the machine for 15–20 minutes
– Make sure that the steam pipe is also rinsed properly (if necessary, also clean the steam pipe with steam pipe cleaner ).

5. Rinsing
– Rinse the reservoir and fill it with clean water
– Let the clean water run through completely

6. Rounding off
– Clean filter and loose parts
– Check that everything is working smoothly again — ready for coffee!

What is the processing time for my order?

Processing time depends on what you buy. Orders with barista tools are packaged and offered to the carrier within 1 to 2 working days.

Coffee clothes take a little longer. This is because the clothing goes through a process in which designs are professionally applied to clothing items. Please allow approximately 3-4 business days for processing.

During busy periods and holidays, the delivery time may be slightly longer.

What is the delivery time for my order?

The Baristashop delivers within the Netherlands and Europe. Within the Netherlands we guarantee a fast delivery time. Within 1 to 2 working days after shipping, you will have your order at home. European shipments take between 3 and 8 working days. The estimated delivery time is visible at checkout. You will receive a track and trace via email when your order is registered with the carrier. This allows you to easily track your package.

The articles of your purchase are subject to the two-year warranty period laid down in Dutch law.
