From Seed To Cup

In our atmospheric training room on the Maasstraat in Amsterdam, we start the Barista Workshop with the theoretical part. While enjoying a delicious cup of coffee or tea, you will learn everything about:

  • choosing the right coffee beans
  • where and how coffee grows
  • Which flavors belong to which countries
  • What roasting does to the coffee beans

Brewing espresso consistently

During the practical part you will get to work yourself. Learn:

  • how to make a perfect espresso
  • to set the correct grind
  • what is important in the various actions such as tamping
  • amount of grams of coffee you need

Ik ben ontzettend tevreden met mijn nieuwe hoodi! De kwaliteit is echt top – het materiaal voelt zacht aan en is lekker warm. Ook de pasvorm is perfect, niet te strak en niet te los. Super leuke barista workshop gehad. Geert-Jan is echt een koffie-pro met ontzettend veel kennis van plant en boon tot apparaten tot het zetten van een heerlijk bakje!! Zelf geen echte koffie fanaat, maar zeker een echte fan geworden. Ook super leuk dat ik mijn gasten nu een lekker bakje kan aanbieden inclusief latte art. 🤩

With more than 9 years of experience in the Specialty coffee world, Geertjandebaristaman is happy to help you deepen your coffee knowledge.

His Specialty Coffee career began in 2015 in Amsterdam, where he started as a barista and eventually worked his way up to assistant manager and shop manager. During this period, he learned the tricks of the trade and developed specialist knowledge about espresso beans, coffee machines, grinders and barista accessories. In addition, he gave workshops and trained corporate clients to improve their coffee experience.
