  • One cloth for all the residue

    The same cloth goes from the steam wand to the portafilter and then across the counter. This way, milk and coffee grounds end up on the same cloth.

  • No clean cloth at hand

    After a few cappuccinos, the cloth is damp or dirty. When you froth milk again, there is no clean one ready.

Three colors make cleaning easy to manage

I would separate the tasks: use grey for the steam wand, brown for your portafilter, and black for the outside of the espresso machine and the worktop.

You get two cloths in each colour. This way, you can replace a used cloth without having to look for a new one before making the next cup.

When is this set useful?

For home baristas with a semi-automatic espresso machine who clean up milk and coffee residue after every use. You can also use the brown and black cloths without a milk frother; in that case, you buy a set with three colors.

What is in the package?

You receive six microfiber cloths, each measuring 30 Γ— 30 cm: two light grey, two brown, and two black. Each cloth has a hanging loop. According to the supplier, the material consists of 80% polyester and 20% polyamide.

A cloth removes residue from the outside. For coffee oils left behind in the brewing group, use a suitable cleaning agent, such as the Cafetto EVO brewing group cleaner.

Cleaning is part of every coffee

After frothing milk, the steam wand should be cleaned immediately in the prescribed manner. After an espresso, coffee grounds are left on the portafilter and around the machine. With a dedicated cloth for each task, you don't have to wonder what to wipe with.

For loose dry coffee grounds next to your grinder, I prefer to use a wooden coffee brush. The cloths are for wiping surfaces and do not replace cleaning the interior.

This is how you divide the cloths practically

Keep cleaning organized by preparing the cloths for each task in advance, using them separately during the process, and washing them afterward.

    Place the grey one at the steam wand, the brown one at your portafilter, and the black one on the machine. Keep the second one of each color as a spare.
