8 years ago I started as a Barista in Amsterdam. With years of experience in giving private and business workshops, management, espresso machine sales and freelance barista projects, I am happy to help you get more out of your coffee experience!

Light Roast Parts

  • Coffee technology. Questions about coffee are answered in an informative presentation. Questions such as; Where does coffee come from? How is it processed? What is the difference between filter coffee and espresso?

  • Espresso extraction. How is a balanced espresso made? What happens if a coffee tastes bad & what can I do to get the most out of my beans? We dive into the do's & don'ts of making good coffee.

  • Foaming technique. In this part of the Light Roast Workshop we use the milk jug. We will practice frothing milk & learn to froth milk consistently. Much or little foam? Cortado or Macchiato foam? You won't be able to turn your back on it anymore!
