Who is behind the Barista Shop, and what is its mission?

From the coffee world in the Baristashop

With more than 8 years of experience in the world of coffee, Geert-Jan van der Molen is a true coffee connoisseur .

'In 2015 I started as a barista at Brandmeester's Specialty Coffee Roaster at Van Baerlestraat 13 in Amsterdam . My original goal was to travel the world and find work anywhere. I realized that knowledge of coffee and hospitality would help me find temporary work. I started as a barista at Brandmeester's and also worked at Star Lodge Hotels in Utrecht. My plan was to gain international experience for my world trip.

Over time, more hours became available at Brandmeester's and I noticed that the hotel sector did not quite suit me. I started working at Brandmeester's full time and slowly worked my way up from barista to assistant manager . With my organizational skills, I quickly took on all tasks related to inventory management, planning and at the same time learned the tricks of the coffee trade. At Brandmeester's I learned everything about espresso beans, filter coffee, espresso machines and accessories . I also slowly started teaching barista workshops .

In the field of business customers, Brandmeester's has worked for years to improve the quality of coffee in the catering and business sectors . I started to provide more and more training courses and took on an advisory role. From adjusting coffee grinders in restaurants to providing business workshops on location at companies, I became a real coffee all-rounder. In 2021 I took over the position of Shop Manager and started managing the team. Together with the team we worked on innovation and brought the coffee quality within Brandmeester's to a higher level in a more modern atmosphere.

At the end of 2022, after seven years, I thought it was time to start my own business. As a freelance barista , I started using my coffee specialty at trade fairs and events. I also provided barista workshops for various parties. Now I bundle all my knowledge and creativity in a webshop. This is how the Barista Shop was born.

My mission?

With all my coffee knowledge and a touch of humor , I want to support and help anyone who is looking for more enjoyment from coffee. That is why the webshop is filled with everything related to coffee: workshops, coffee tools, mugs, cleaning products and even coffee clothing.'

What is the processing time for my order?

Processing time depends on what you buy. Orders with barista tools are packaged and offered to the carrier within 1 to 2 working days.

Coffee clothes take a little longer. This is because the clothing goes through a process in which designs are professionally applied to clothing items. Please allow approximately 3-4 business days for processing.

During busy periods and holidays, the delivery time may be slightly longer.

What is the delivery time for my order?

The Baristashop only delivers within the Netherlands. This guarantees a fast delivery time. You will receive your order within 1 to 2 working days after shipment. You will receive a track and trace via email when your order has been registered with the carrier. This allows you to easily track your package.

During busy periods and holidays, the delivery time may be slightly longer.

How long do I have a warranty on my purchase?

The articles of your purchase are subject to the two-year warranty period laid down in Dutch law.

Please contact info@geertjandebaristaman.nl if your purchase has factory defects. We will then look together at how we can resolve this to your satisfaction as quickly as possible.

How can I return my purchases?

The return process starts by sending an email to info@geertjandebaristaman.nl. You will then be sent a return address to which the package can be sent.

Make sure you read the returns policy carefully. We will only process orders that meet the requirements of the returns policy .

How do I book a workshop?

You can request a workshop by contacting info@geertjandebaristaman.nl. We will then look together at the possibilities to provide you (and your team) with an unforgettable training!
