Who is behind the Barista Shop, and what is its mission?

Geertjandebaristaman: All-round Coffee Expert with a Passion for Quality and Education

Geertjandebaristaman, or Geert-Jan van der Molen, is the driving force behind the Barista Shop and a true coffee connoisseur with almost ten years of experience.

His Specialty Coffee career began in 2015 in Amsterdam, where he started as a barista and eventually worked his way up to assistant manager and shop manager. During this period, he learned the tricks of the trade and developed specialist knowledge about espresso beans, coffee machines, grinders and barista accessories. In addition, he gave workshops and trained corporate clients to improve their coffee experience.

In Amsterdam Geert-Jan developed the following qualities:

  • In-depth knowledge of coffee : Became an expert in espresso beans, filter coffee and coffee brewing techniques.
  • Barista skills : Specialized in preparing quality coffee and adjusting espresso machines and grinders.
  • Organizational skills : Responsible for inventory management, scheduling and team coordination.
  • Leadership and team management : Rised to assistant manager and later shop manager, leading the team and taking coffee quality to a higher level.
  • Training and Education : Experience gained in providing barista workshops and training to corporate clients.
  • Advisory skills for hospitality and business : Supported in improving the coffee experience in hospitality and business environments through advice and technical support
  • SCA training: Obtaining your SCA Intermediate. (Specialty Coffee Association)

These qualities have shaped him into the all-round coffee expert he is today.

In 2022, Geert-Jan decided to bundle his expertise in De Barista Shop. With his webshop and workshops, he wants to help coffee lovers get the most out of their coffee. His mission? Let people enjoy that perfect cup of coffee, with top-quality products such as barista tools, coffee syrups, mugs and unique coffee clothing. For Geert-Jan, coffee is not just a drink, but the best moment of the day!

What is the processing time for my order?

Processing time depends on what you buy. Orders with barista tools are packaged and offered to the carrier within 1 to 2 working days.

Coffee clothes take a little longer. This is because the clothing goes through a process in which designs are professionally applied to clothing items. Please allow approximately 3-4 business days for processing.

During busy periods and holidays, the delivery time may be slightly longer.

The Baristashop delivers within the Netherlands and Europe. Within the Netherlands we guarantee a fast delivery time. Within 1 to 2 working days after shipping, you will have your order at home. European shipments take between 3 and 8 working days. The estimated delivery time is visible at checkout. You will receive a track and trace via email when your order is registered with the carrier. This allows you to easily track your package.

During busy periods and holidays, delivery times may be slightly longer.

The articles of your purchase are subject to the two-year warranty period laid down in Dutch law.

The return process starts by sending an email to info@geertjandebaristaman.nl. You will then be sent a return address to which the package can be sent.
