Characteristic Hario

The name HARIO consists of the Japanese words for glass (玻璃, hari ) and king (王, ō ). Combined, HARIO (or 玻璃王) means King of Glass.

Since 1921

Hario has been producing heat-resistant glass since 1921. They started manufacturing laboratory glassware. In 1948 they expanded their production to household items, starting with the coffee siphon. In 1980 they also started producing lenses for car lighting. Today they continue to produce a wide range of products including coffee and teaware.
